When guests arrive at our self catering accommodation we are often asked about us...so here’s a little insight.

We are George and Sheila Keith, the owners and operators of Brekka Lodge. We designed and built Brekka Lodge, welcoming our first guests in August 2009.

‍

George is a qualified refrigeration/air conditioning engineer but works as an engineer with the local authority's occupational therapy team. Sheila works for the Shetland Fishermen’s Association after working in economic development for 15 years. We are both Shetlanders, returning to the islands after studying on the mainland (a very good move).

In addition to the 9-5 jobs we enjoy meeting our guests and making recommendations for how to make the most of their trip.

When we get any free time we love nothing better than pulling on our boots and heading over a hill to explore more of the Shetland Islands’ delights or heading out in our kayaks on calm days. We also enjoy travelling the world when we can get the chance. We are also active members in our local church.
